Tech Notes Pink Floyd Hollywood Bowl 1972-09-22 "Box 1432 Tape" low-gen AUD reel-to-reel with photos and artwork *NEWLY FOUND SOURCE OF THE BEST PINK FLOYD SHOW!* (first time in circulation)

I am deliriously happy to present this music for the first time to the Dime community!

Upon rediscovering this tape, I originally thought I had found the master for the "Crackers" bootleg. Although I didn't have any proof other than what you see in the photos, they are very convincing evidence that this tape had SOMETHING to do with making a record album, even if it was only in someone's imagination. However, when this music was presented to the Floydian minds at Yeeshkul, it was determined that this was in fact, a completely new source which was distinctly different to anything currently circulating. This version includes approximately 2:30 of new material prior to the first chord of the song "Breathe", and it is NOT cut during "On The Run".

There were several fades on the original tape, which had been set up for LP mastering. These have been preserved for the most part, with digital fades overlaid to keep the tape hiss from flaring. "The Great Gig In The Sky" was in two distinct parts, and it has been left that way. The end of "Careful With That Axe, Eugene" has been reconstructed, and the track break has been moved. The original tape fades right after Roger's last breath, and the next track begins with most of the rest of the applause. It was too abrupt the way it was.

Tuneups were tracked by themselves, so that the beginning of each tune falls on the start of the next track.

This tape is one-channel monophonic. To keep with avoiding conta bonos, the second channel was duplicated in Sound Forge. Hence, the Flac compression rates are at around .300, but this is the entire set as I have it.
