Tech Notes "Notes
Excellent show. The crowd overall was very respectful, particularly so during more quiet parts/mellow songs. The
only loud talkers were people trying to get out of or into the row and that only happened a couple times, so the
recording turned out very well in that respect.

Bothersome moments to be aware of:
1) About 05:17 into 'The Leper Affinity' someone asks me if anyone's sitting in the empty seat next to me.
2) After 'Harvest' has finished at 06:29 a guy in my row is telling people a few seats to my right that he has to go
recycle his weak bladder.
3) At the end of 'Harlequin Forest' and at the beginning/end of 'The Lotus Eater' you can hear the loud clapper who
showed up in front of me sometime during 'Harlequin Forest'.

The way the stacks and balcony are oriented in the Wiltern is that the stacks are physically lower than the balcony,
so the recording could've been better, no doubt. The view I was offered from my seat, however, was well worth the
exchange. Mike's vocals come out particularly clear in this recording. Per's keyboards and Mendez's bass are somewhat
buried unless it's a mellow portion/song. The physical orientation of the balcony and stacks may have contributed to
this, however, reports from people on the floor indicate that Per's keyboards and Mendez's bass were hard to pick out
in the mix there as well.

Technical issues during the show:
1) One tom mic on Axe's kit was malfunctioning and was not fixed until about two/thirds through the second set.
As a result, there's some crackle heard coming from the PA any time Axe hits the tom in question. So be aware
that the crackle is from Axe's kit and not mobile phone interference.
2) Frederik stepped on and jerked the cable out of his guitar about five minutes into 'The Drapery Falls'. It is
fixed within a few seconds."
