J-Card Comment LDB Master Series #232

Hello, this is a collection of masters I would like to seed here. I've been taping shows for more than 20 years
and have an awful lot of masters. Most of them are in the old cassette format, some others are on MiniDisc and
others are on CD. I've taped many shows of many artists over the years, so don't be surprised if you will find
many different artists taped! Some shows are already circulating, some others
have not circulated through collectors yet. But most of all, enjoy! They all come from my mastertapes!

Please DO NOT share this music on mp3, just convert it for your own use. Sharing mp3's is the right way to make
me stop sharing music here.

To continue the thread around 70's italian progressive and jazz-rock, I would like to introduce to you to Arti e Mestieri
a band from Torino formed in 1974. They have two masterpieces in their discography: Tilt (1974) and Valzer Per Domani
(1975). The music is often associated as prog-fusion and one cannot make a huge effort to align this band to the 70's
trend where Mahavishnu Orchestra, Zappa and PFM's Jet Lag would go. Thier violin trademark, along with the powerful
drumming by Furio Chirico make this band really special.

the band split in the mid 80's but came back together in the late 90's. This show comes from one of the earliest gig they
did together, featuring the core line-up from 1974 plus a couple a special guests. Since then, the band have changed
again line-up and released a few fine records.

This show was part of the annual prog fest that took place in the beautiful Castello Sforzesco in Vigevano. Over the years
I have seen in this festival Jethro Tull, PFM, Quidam, Porcupine Tree, banco, After Crying, Fish and Steve Hackett, to name
a few. A pity the festival is no more.

Soundwise this is a nice recording. It catches a bit too much applauses between songs, but the rest is clear. Give this
band a try and if you can, buy all their official releases.

If you want to check how does the band play (and look like), here is a good link where you can see why Chirico is regarded
as one of the master of drums in Italy. They sound great!
