MoLM:

"Seventh and Final Performance of the LA Wall Shows

In celebration of the 2010 Roger Waters Wall Tour, Man
of Leisure Music (MoLM) has reached back into the
inner recesses of their library and dusted off this
gem to share with the Pink Floyd trading community.

Flynn picked this up in a trade many years ago from one
of his best sources of low-gen material. It's a
great, low generation version of this excellent but
often overlooked Wall tour date.

As this is still a relatively early show date, there
are still a few miscues and mistakes during the show.
However, tonight stands out as clearly the best of
the LA dates, both in sound quality and band performance.

The Men of Man of Leisure ride again!

Jon G:

"At Ken's request I transferred his DAT tape and am sharing the raw files here split into 2 halves. No processing was done at all.

From Ken:
"I'm not sure how folks list the lineage these days, but you already know that it was made on a Sony TCD-5 cassette deck with Nakamichi DM-500 mics.

The cassette masters were transferred to an open reel (Maxell UD 35-90B) on some deck that I can't possibly remember, that night after the show. Reel-to-reel speed was 3 3/4.

That reel was then transferred to the DAT tape 10 years later, using a Sony D-5 DAT Walkman and a Teac reel-to-reel for playback.

The cassettes were stolen, so there is no other option for getting a new dub of the show.

I've still got the open reel tape too, don't know how it would play though.

There is a story about getting the stuff in, so if there ends up being a thread to post on somewhere let me know. It's not super long like the last story."

A big thanks to Ken for recording and sharing!!! And thanks again to Diego for the transfer. This is a great Wall show folks!

Enjoy!
