"Notes: Originally, there was supposed to be two rec's on this date. One was to be by myself and one by my
brother, Jim. We had side by side seats in Section 3 next to the center isle and figured that between the
both of us, a good rec had to be there. I was using an iPhone app that would grab the sound from my mic and
record it losslessly, Jim was using a Sony IC handheld recorder that.

My recording, as it turned out, is horrible. I turned the mics up too high, so while the quiter sections
are alright, from the moment In the Flesh starts, distortion rules the day. I tried when I got home after
the show to clean it up and I seriously believe it cannot be done (if somebody ever wants to try, let me
know).

Upon realizing that there would only be one rec, I had my brother pull the audio from his Sony in WAV format,
split it into tracks, encoded in FLAC, and here it is for you all.

Having over 300 rec's, I'd say the quality of the recording is actually pretty good. It gets a little 'tinny'
at times, but I've heard far worse and being REC 1 and the first show we've recorded makes it that much better
IMO. If anybody ever wants to try to do anything with it, to try and spruce it up more, just let me know before
you do it.

Added into this share is about 97 pics that I took on a Sony digital camera. When I found the Sony could also
do video, I decided to try it out. A bit shakey and the volume distorts, but it is what it is, so in the share
it goes. If anybody would like to take the audio from this show and meld it onto the video's, I ask only that
you let me know (so I can grab it)!"

Thanks to the taper J.Shine for the recording and providing the raw flac files.
Please provide this fixup to J.Shine as he requested. I can't get into those other sites.

"Comments:

Third night of four at Chicago's United Center, the fifth date of "The Wall" tour. I'm not sure I can add anything that hasn't already been written; the show was visually and sonically spectacular, and the musicianship impeccable. I went in with relatively low expectations, with visions of the 1990 Berlin Wall debacle in my mind, and was astounded. To put it mildly, this show was worth the 30-year wait.

Truthfully, I am pretty sure I haven't listened to this album since about 1986; I played it endlessly throughout my adolescence and really burned myself out on it. It turns out that it's actually pretty good!

I haven't listened to the other sources posted from Chicago; I suspect mine is a bit inferior simply due to my equipment (valued at roughly $2000 less than the rigs used to tape nights 1 and 2). That said, it's a very listenable recording, with good fidelity (the sound was better than anything I've heard at United Center since it opened in 1994) and minimal crowd noise -- save for a couple outbursts in the first set. If you don't try to compare it to the audiophile sources posted for the other nights, this is probably a keeper.

I held off on posting this for a week or so under the assumption that a phenomenal source would appear; since it hasn't, and there are obviously many Pink Floyd out there dying to hear everything from this tour, I thought this would fill in a gap until (if and when) a superior recording appears. I'd probably rank this a 7 or 8 on a 10-scale overall.

Hope you enjoy it! Mp3 samples are included in the comments."
