Two very nice sounding, though incomplete, recordings from The Beatles' three week engagement (16/1/64-4/2/64) at
the Olympia in Paris in 1964. To quote a web site in regards to these recordings:

"While Beatles lore usually has it that their reception in Paris in 1964 was pretty cool, actually the audience
sounds reasonably enthusiastic -- they're just not at Beatlemania level yet, and do some odd and distracting hand
clapping during songs."

Legend has it that Ringo was particularly popular with the Parisian audiences.

It was during this visit as well that on 29/1/64 at Pathe Marconi EMI Studios in Paris that the Beatles recorded
"Can't Buy Me Love", and the German language versions of "I Want To Hold Your Hand" ("Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand" -
new vocals onto the original rhythm track) and "She Loves You" ("Sie Liebt Dich" - completely new recording).

The following web site has a chronology of the stay in Paris and some great photos:

Cheers and enjoy!
