| J-Card Comment | Mick Thomas The Carleton Halifax, NS, CANADA April 17, 2011 Source: Zoom H4n Conversion: SD card>Audacity (normalize and fix minor pops)>FLAC via Traders Little Helper (level 8) Show is Mick Thomas on acoustic and Mark "Squeezebox Wally" Wallace on accordian. This is part of the tour where the guys are opening for great Canadian band Lowest of the Low, who are celebrated the 20th anniversary of their debut album. Set is half Mick and Wally, and then they are joined by the Low boys for the second half of full band songs. Recorded from the front row, way FOB, and the vocals in the louder songs get lost in the music. You can hear them but they were down in the mix and my location didn't pick them up well. The first half of the show is excellent sounding, and the second half with full band is great as well, but heavy in music and low on vocals. Enjoy! Forgot She Was Beautiful Rambling Girl Hard Currency Gallipoli Rosemary banter - The Flamingo / when we met Lowest of the Low She Works * Our Sunshine * Knockbacks in Halifax * Tommy Didn't Want You * Sergeant Small * Away Away * * (w/ Ron Hawkins, Stephen Stanley, and David Alexander) As always, not for commercial distribution - DON't SELL THIS RECORDING. Support Mick and buy his albums, you'll be glad you did. |
