Tech Notes "Notes:

First night of the 2011 "HOPE" North American tour.

This version is in mono. The reason being is that I was having battery box issues at this show. After checking my connections when the opener finished,
I thought everything was working, but once again, the left channel ended up either peaking or being non-existent. So I dumped the left channel and made
this recording mono with the problem-free right channel.

This was my first Boris show. I've always wanted to see them but was never able to. And I've equally always wanted to see Michio Kurihara live, so this
was just mindblowing to me. I thought the setlist was a nice cross section of material and Atsuo is pure energy (I only wish I could have watched him
play, but Takeshi's cab blocked my view of him).

The crowd was typical San Luis: drunk and annoying. But the nice thing about this particular show was that people didn't tend to talk, so there is almost
no audience noise on this one at all. And those that did scream and applaud were far enough away to not impact this recording. Oddly, it took "Attention
Please" for the moshing to start and it never let up. Fortunately, I was only bashed into once. Many thanks to the tall dude for always blocking me on my
left (whether intentional or not, it was nice to have some protection since I was up against the right wall). Around "Spoon," a drunk in front of me, to
the left, got shoved and he ended up standing on the steps that led to the stage, thus blocking my view for a good portion of the show. You might hear him
make a weird, painful wail between songs (even though he was in front of me, his scream thankfully ended up distant sounding).

I did not touch anything on this recording, so be sure to turn it up (and then turn it down for "Aileron" because that song was insanely loud compared to
the rest of the performance). This show is 83 minutes, so if burning to cd, the suggested split is between "Missing Pieces" and "Window Shopping" (or you
can drop the 3 minute intro and it will then fit on one cd)."
