Black Flag
June 15, 1985
Ritz Theater, Tampa, FL
AUD - 1st(!) gen - 83 min. - B+ quality

Don't think this one has been posted online before. If I'm remembering correctly, it was uncirculated prior to procurement by the one and only hothcanada a few years back. My remix is long gone, so here's the unedited rip I received in the mail - all I did was boost the levels, cut out some silence during the tape flip and separate the tracks. A great performance by a great band during a great era - this was recorded right after Anthony joined on drums and they started focusing more on material from the last two records. The sound is adequate for an amateur audience tape of the era. On this tour, they'd begin their sets with a loose improvised instrumental jam, and segue "I've Had It" into another, typically looser, spontaneous composition. Collect them all kids!

If you have any rare Black Flag board tapes from 85-86, please post 'em! Hugely underrated period for sure, especially in live form. Many of you will disagree but I think they got better and better as time went on, their last show in Detroit is my favorite Flag bootleg out of the 40+ in my collection.
