| J-Card Comment | "Lineage: Master Audience. equipment: Awia recording walkman - new in 1982 - internal mics. Duration: 31:19 mins Sound quality: Fair - A bit disappointing really. (Had a few problems in this one - missed a few moments of the start and also the recorder got switched off somehow partly through Soundhead and then back on after the next sone started)" "I remember this was a pretty intense night. I hadn't been able to get in to the London Fulham Greyhound venue some months before as it was sold out and I was desperate to catch them. It was supposed to be a 'secret' show but the whole world was there and when the doors were opened to this really small place - it didn't even have a stage - there was a rush on the door and me and my friends somehow got swept along and squeezed into the place like toothpaste. Some girl was selling hash-cake inside which we partook of. I guess it actually had something in it as the recording got messed up although not a lot is actually missing. I think I stood on a chair at the back to record this, but it was mental inside and people were bouncing off the walls, which were dripping with sweat. Transferred and uploaded in May 2012 by StuArt This is the last in my series of 4 LOOP shows. These are are for Spacebandit who lives out the traders mantra of Dan Lampanski 'The more you share the more you recieve'. I hope all those who like the harder side of psychedelia and who haven't hear LOOP before give them a try. As a 20 something in London in the late 80's they blew my mind with their fuzzed out wah sonic armageddon. Typically short sets 20 - 40 minutes of full on psychedelia late 80's style left you always wanting more. I always preferred the first album - Heavens End and the early singles along with the totally awesome John Peel Radio 1 session in 1987 - released on the Wolf Flow Cd, but doesn't have the great comments by the DJ him self - in total praise of the band. So I hope you all enjoy the might LOOP." |
