J-Card Comment OK, for those of you who like your shows complete, hit the back button and look for something else. Iím posting this because it has never had a digital transfer before and it sounds nice, but it is far from complete. It is however all that is left of the tape. A friend dragged me to this show before I really gave Pink Floyd, much less Roger Waters, much of a thought. One of the reasons I went was to tape and experiment with my recorder and microphone. We got in late after buying third row tickets from a scalper and proceeded to sit in front of the speakers. We made it during Money. What I did in the show, as I only had one tape was to tape the songs I knew or recognized. Many songs were cut off or not recorded at all. I then took the master and made a tape that tried to make sense out of the mess I had created. I realized I had seen a great show, but my taping was very half assed. To make things even worse I must have recorded over the master. This is from that 1st generation copy. At the tape flip I believe I added a T-Mic to the unit so the sound improves on track 11. Songs 18 & 19 were recorded from the balcony as we tried to beat traffic out of the arena. So while this sounds like 3 different sources, it was recorded by one person on one recorder. The sound on this is very good to great. There is a bit of whistling and audience chatter in a few songs, but way less than half. Tracks 11-17 sound the best. This is the tapes first digital transfer. Iím not saying it was never circulated, but I gave very few a copy of the tape, less than 5 people at most. When you listen to the tape you might say to yourself, what was the taper thinking, is he a moron, and god I wish it was complete. I hope you like what I did manage to capture.
