| Notes | A remaster of "The Rainbow Volumes Three" and "End Of The Rainbow" roio's (not a new analogue to digital transfer) to make a more complete, distraction free show with speed correction, level correction and tape issue fixes. ORIGINAL SOURCE NOTES: from original source 1 "The Rainbow Volumes Three" notes: "Cassette 3rd generation>Cdr(3)>SHN It is from the the Atomic Cow Recording label." from original source 2 "End Of The Rainbow" notes: "These recordings were made by myself at the Rainbow Theatre, London on 19 February 1972, using a Dixons 'Prinzsound' portable tape recorder with a half-decent mic. (smuggled in under my smelly Afghan coat!) Transferred from C90 audio cassettes on a JVC KD10 Cassette player to .wav files using 'AAA Real Recorder' and converted to .flac files." REMASTER NOTES: This is a really good show. Give this recording a chance. The sound keeps getting better throughout the show. Source 1 gets better as the levels were increased on the master. Source 2 just sounds better and improves as the levels were lowered on the master (to stop the distortion). It's a good enough recording that you can hear the dynamics and all the instruments. Speed corrected: S1 ran slow and the 1st half of S2 ran a little fast (with a little piece running really fast). I believe Echoes is complete between both tapes. ASOS was repaired by recycling parts to fill in the gaps (better than abrupt jumps or pieces of different shows IMO). S1 had low and really low levels and few abrupt changes. S2 was better, just a few fluctuations. All level corrections were positive (no bits lost from turning anything down). STM and opening of Breathe are still missing. |
