| J-Card Comment | The H¸skers officially broke up 25 years ago this week. I remember reading the news in the Chicago Tribune; the article said "Like the title of one of their best songs, it makes no sense at all." Knowing all the back story that has leaked out over the years, their breakup now seems like it was inevitable. Anyway, this show was the first of their final tour, and maybe the last great show they ever played (at least among the existing recordings). An incredibly long and varied set covering their entire career, with Bob and Grant switching instruments on the last couple of songs. The sound quality is excellent--it maybe runs a tad slow but is very clear with minimal hiss. mp3 sample is in comments. Please don't circulate in lossy formats, and if you have any low-gen or master H¸sker D¸ recordings, please circulate them. |
