Notes It's been a while since I've uploaded one of masters from the past, so here's a remedy with Deep Purple in Denver 1998 and manage to grab it it with pretty decent sound quality.

This was a fun show as ELP opened and I had never seen either one of the bands live before - although I'm probably a bigger fan of ELP than Deep Purple, especially during this period in the late '90s.

It was great to see Jon Lord perform, but I remember joking at the time that he must have been pretty intimidated touring with Keith Emerson (who I consider to be the best RnR keyboard player of all time).

The master DATs of this show suffer from a D7 deck drop just prior to the show. Misaligned DAT decks don't behave well and this drop caused the recording to be a little misaligned. Add 16 years to the issue, and the master DAT tape plays worse now than it did then. Fortunately, a cdr was burned from the master with a terrific transfer that was done just months after the show, but only for the first part of the show - at least that's all I have(up through Lazy). The remainder of this source comes from a recent fresh transfer attempt from the master (the last part of the show sounds much better than the first part in terms of the transfer and misalignment issue).

So, what I present here is the best possible transfer of this very nice sounding show. Sample included (from the recent transfer portion). I was seated in the front right section facing the stage.
