The consistent speed throughout with very small, almost no hiss present at all. Great sound, nicely balanced with a bit more bass (Mike) in the mix. AUD1 (ShnID = 31211) Good sounding AUD. It does not have much crowd in the recording which would indicate it was made at the SBD but still sounds as if it was close to the stage (FOB). While this AUD doesn't do much in adding crowd reaction and energy it to the matrix it does a great job at adding a depth and richness to the straight SBD. --------------------------------------------------------- Tech Notes FLAC/SHNs decoded and Wavemerge was used to reassemble the entire show back to 1 long wave. CEP2.0 was used to align & synch all of the sources. CEP2.0 was used for the multitrack mixdown. This is a 60%-SBD, 40%-AUD mix. - Mixed by dan@am-dig.com - FLAC conversion done 03-SEPT-2008 - Artwork at 300dpi by dan@am-dig.com - For best results print at the highest resolution onto glossy photo paper. Design for use in a 2CD clear, slim CD case. --------------------------------------------------------- Multitrack Mixdown Settings Stereo Matrix SBD +1db AUD +1.5db --------------------------------------------------------- Notes Entire show is seamless. SBD was missing "Love You", "Rocky Top", "Contact" and "BBFCFM" and therefore is not included on any of the Matrix or 5.1 versions. AUD source had several, maybe even 100, tiny clicks/ticks/pops. These were all meticulously removed by hand. d1t07 "Possum" first few seconds clipped on SBD source. This was patched using the AUD. Several techniques were used to make this patch as seamless as possible (EQ, volume adjust and crossfades). The result is very smooth and most likely completely undetectable. d1t07 "Possum" had a tiny amount of digi noise on the AUD source. This was seamlessly repaired. d1t11 "Antelope" had a few seconds of digi noise on the AUD source. This was patched using the SBD source. The result is very smooth and most likely completely undetectable. d2t03 "Suzy Greenberg" had an approx 10 second cut near the beginning. This was patched using the SBD source. Several techniques were used to make this patch as seamless as possible (EQ, volume adjust and crossfades). The result is very smooth and most likely completely undetectable. --------------------------------------------------------- Lineup Trey Anastasio (guitar, vocals) Mike Gordon (bass, vocals) Page McConnell (keyboards, vocals) Jon Fishman (drums, percussions) |
