Filming Notes:

It had been a year and one day since I last filmed a gig at the arena (Kiss and Motley Crue). In the notes for that recording I mentioned having forgotten to turn the camera on at the beginning of the Kiss set. Well, I picked up right where I left off by doing it again during Megadeth. I had my camera up and was really into Hangar 18 that I just forgot to hit the record button until the song was nearly over. Sorry folks. I'm pissed too. I did get the rest however and I did NOT make that mistake during Iron Maiden.

My camera generally does a good job at filtering out excess noise but for some reason the bass drum was providing some distortion so that is a mild disappointment. However, I think the show sounds pretty good coming from the camera. Dave Mustaine's vocals were lost in the mix a bit, but you can still hear him.

I sat much closer this time as I no longer have access to the private suite (took a different job last year). I would say it was roughly where I was for the Scorpions show in 2010 (my first filmed show). It was a packed house and I had numerous head obstructions during this set. My friend and I switched seats during Maiden and it helped a bit during that set, but I was plagued with it all night.

I've seen a lot of bands over the years and amazingly I had never caught Megadeth. So this was a real treat to get to see them as well as the great Iron Maiden in the same night.

I hope you like it!
