==================================================================

Eric is known for being a member of The Raspberries. Played their first show on October 16, 1970 doing weekly gigs at the Agora in Cleveland.

A career highlight was the band’s sold-out concert at New York’s Carnegie Hall on September 26, 1973.

Eric performed 3 consecutive nights at the Bottom Line.

This WNEW broadcast is from the second night. The opening act was Ron Douglas.

After a quick search, it's very apparent that there is almost nothing available when it comes to live Eric Carmen recordings.

The reason I know this is a 1st gen FM, is for 2 reasons. 1) I can see a 2nd layer of tape noise at the very beginning of side A.

2) At the beginning of side B, it had "That's Rock n Roll" started over again. I was able to seamlessly piece it back together.

The original tape flip happened between tracks 11 & 12. No music missing. For some reason the quality improves after the flip.

At the very end of track 14, 'Be My Baby' (The Ronettes), you can just barely hear Eric say "and this next song".

Which would leave you to believe that there were more songs played that weren't broadcast.

This cassette also included filler material from August 1976 in Los Angeles. The venue is unknown (possibly The Roxy) and the last song gets cut off due to tape ending.

I have to imagine that it's sourced from an FM broadcast, but no station ID's are mentioned. This seems to be ever more rare.

So if you're a fan of The Raspberries and Eric Carmen, by all means grab yourself a copy of this.

I've included a newspaper review from this concert inside the torrent.

Thanks to BR for his tapes and enjoy the show.
