This is a fine band. Unpretentious and sympathetic, never living up to the success they had 15 years ago when fresh on the market, but since and still together with the same lineup and producing interesting music. Rare to see 3 alternating leadsingers without anybody's ego getting in the way and the different voices make for a nice variety of songs - and gladfully not too much backup harmony, the sometimes melodious song time and again broken up by some unexpected twist or just the force of the drums.
Regarding which my we had different opinions, was it a bad mix or a willfull dominance of the bassdrum - as the acoustics of the Grünspan are great I think it was on purpose that the sound was a little brute, whatever, it was loud and I liked it that way. In good moments they sound a little like Pavement.

Less popular, first time in Germany in 3 years, only 2 shows and only 250 - 300 people showed up - which created good recording conditions, very little chatter, hardly audible over the loud music, never obtrusive.

As it was louder than I expected I had to correct the levels twice during the first munutes, this was corrected, raised the overall levels afterwards by 2 dB, some limiter to close clapping manually. Missed about one minute of the encore break due to change of md, the gap was joined as seemless as possible.
