This has never been on TTD.

It appears that the previous WBCN tapes were missing the first 8 tracks, because the radio station got a late start at broadcasting.

Luckily a tape deck was rolling for the entire show.

What I have here came off of 2 disc's. The songs were in a mixed up order.

On this version the tapes seem to be about a 3rd generation or so and there is a slight bit of tape warble.

The mix on this alternate source is very different compared to the WBCN tapes.

I spend 3 days going over this and comparing it to the WBCN tapes.

I re-arranged the song order and making sure everything was pieced back together in the proper sequence.

Also checking the transitions and looking for cuts.

I did use the WBCN material as a patch at the beginning of Track 11 'Hideaway' for 35 seconds.

As far as I can tell this is now 100% complete, minus the interviews.

I know this isn't perfect quality, but this is the best complete version available at this time.

I've offered samples below of both sources for you to compare "The Blues Had a Baby".

You'll notice the WBCN DJ talking over part of the song, where as Stonecutters source has no talking.

And a sample of "Hideaway" with the patch.

If anyone has this complete source in their collection, I'd like to know how it compares.

Thanks goes to Rich for supplying the source.
