| J-Card Comment | Notes from Daspyknows: Final night of an epic trip. The day was spent taking it easy. I was pretty tired and there wasn't anything I had to do. I met Scooter123 at the Hoop and Toy and we got ready. We followed the same plan as the previous night and it worked the same way. Up to the Stella Artois bar. By now we were regulars. This was where we told people to meet us. We had a good group and went in much more relaxed than the day before. Doyle wa good again but I think i prefer his second night set. I had louder people around me but I knew tonight Scooter123 has the better seat. I was the backup. Unfortunately he said he had loud talkers as well. I was right on the aisle with an usher behind me except when she was telling people to put their phones away. Ironic that I was taping right in front of her. This was the best Clapton set of the three. Best I Shot The Sheriff of the bunch. The acoustic set came ad went without a Bell Bottom Blues so it was looking like a similar night as the night before. Before Eric invites Doyle on stage he actually says a few word and thanks the fans for being there. The song with Doyle are on fire and thy walk off for the encore and everyone figure its one and done. Instead they play a rip roaring sunshine of Your Love and followed with High Time We Went. Emotional ending like I have never experience at a Clapton show. It really was something considering his performing career is in its twilight. I feel lucky to have attended these shows and record them for others to enjoy. After the show it was one last time at Hoop and Toy. We closed the place again and concluded an epic adventure. |
