Info file says, "The back cover is an (alleged - though probably authentic) shot of the back of the reel-to-reel tape box used by DIR Broadcasting Corp. The story behind the content: DIR Broadcasting Corp./ The King Biscuit Flower Hour present a tribute to The Who. The interviews contained on this disc are "snippets" by Pete, Keith, and Roger (no JAE comments) about how the band met, the dynamics etc. The interviews appear to be in mono / Hi-Fi. but crystal clear. The interviews and broadcast of the 1973 Spectrum Quadrophenia show MAY be either from a 1978 or September 1979 FM radio KBFH broadcast. In comparison with / to all other versions of this 1973 Quadrophenia show, with perhaps the exception of Philadelphia Freedom - Quadrophenia Tour 1973 (CD-R) (no lable [sic] information), this is probably THE best-sounding version to own. Recorded in "quadrophonic [sic] and stereophonic sound", this is more clear and crisp than any of the others. " |
