| Notes | Downloaded a torrent some time ago (original text file included). Lineage to that was as follows: Cassette (from Jan Lohmann Collection)>Cassette>Creative>CDWave to split tracks>FLAC The tracks were all out of order, part of the set from Aug 3rd was with part of Aug 2nd, the cuts, while not entirely random, did not line up with the start of the tunes. I brought the whole lot into Audacity as FLAC and correctly tracked it for each night. Then the incredibly frustrating high pitch whistle was removed using a notch filter at 7869Hz (2nd) and 7860Hz (3rd). Beyond this no EQ or normalisation has been applied. Simply removing the whistle made it a lot more listenable for me, and reordering the tracks makes things a bit easier to keep in mind Miles' evolution during 1974. Metadata then added and exported to FLAC level 8. The tracks roughly resemble Losin's timings now, unlike the "parts" previously provided. Cassette (from Jan Lohmann Collection)>Cassette>Creative>CDWave to split tracks>FLAC>Torrent > audacity (whistle removal, retracking) > FLAC level8 ===================== |
