The third disc is made up of a bunch of fillers from other nights.
Set List: I Wanna Be With You / The Promised Land / Two Hearts / Darlington County / Trapped / Factory / The River / Youngstown / Murder Incorporated / Badlands / Out in the street / Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out (incl. "Fire" / Loose Ends / Working On The Highway / Downbound train / The Ghost of Tom Joad / Jungleland / Light of day / Stand On It / Hungry Heart / Born to Run / Bobby Jean / Thunder Road / If I Should Fall Behind / Land of Hope And Dreams
Notes: By June 24, the "reunion" tour of Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band was winding up the European leg of the tour and they were playing hot. One of the highlights from the European tour was the many Tracks songs that were played on a regular basis but didn't get many airings once the tour returned to North America, especially "I Wanna Be With You" and "Loose Ends," both of which were played on June 24 to a very enthusiastic crowd. Many fan favorite songs from the 70s and 80s returned to the set on the 1999-2000 tour, and several of those are represented here, including "Jungleland," "Two Hearts," "Born to Run," and "Thunder Road." But the high point for many long-time fans were the last two songs of the night, "If I Should Fall Behind," which featured Bruce, Steven, Patti, Nils, and Clarence sharing vocals, and "Land of Hope and Dreams," a mid-tempo rocker with almost spiritual lyrics. Other highlights from the tour included the segment from "Youngstown," done in a full-band arrangement, through "10th Avenue," which included the band member introductions. And during the band introductions on June 24, Garry played "Fire," which Bruce and the band picked up for a couple of verses. After completing the band intros and before getting back into "10th Avenue," Bruce finished the song. This show is available on the bootleg CD "Olympic Stadium Second Night," which features amazing sound.

Led Zeppelin - III To Get Ready
I'll tell you what I know. Which really isn't too much. Forgive my rambling; this is my first attempt at putting something like this together.
I'm assuming that this is some kind of series because, in addition to having "III To Get Ready", I also have an lp titled "And IV To Go". So I'd be willing to bet there are an "I For The Money" and ?II For The Show".
Here is some information on THIS album.
The labels on the LP show the following information:
EARLY TIMES MUSIC INC.

Basically they (I believe just Jimmy and Robert) let the tape roll and went to town on some acoustic jamming. It?s cool to hear a ?brainstorming? session like this. I don?t know if Jones is there or not but it is clear that Page is on one acoustic but there is also another playing many times throughout the album. I?m fairly confident that it?s probably Plant. A little vocal stuff here and there as well. The first track starts out as if they had been playing and then quickly started the tape. This is how it is on the album I did not start the recording too late. Just a little F.Y.I..
There are 16 total tracks on the album. Although side A lists 8 tracks there are actually 9 tracks on that side. Also, Side B lists 8 tracks as well but there are only 7. We still get the 16 tracks but not as listed on the cover. Check out how the labels are laid out. I?ve kind of wondered if this was totally deliberate and there were subtle hints here and there on the labels to make mention of it. I didn?t title the tracks. Since the numbers per side varied I thought I?d be more likely to get it wrong so I just numbered them as they were on each side. I also know nothing about the date of these recordings.
Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this little collection. I understand that some might be upset at the ?quality? of my work but this is my first attempt at transferring an LP over to a digital format and I am not yet astute nor daring enough to mess with the tools that I DO have to try to take out the hiss and whatnot. So, to the hardcore Zep audiophiles, I hope you are not disappointed. Don?t get me wrong, it sounds very VERY good. In my opinion it is absolutely no different than the actual vinyl. What you hear is just how it came off of the LP. I am certainly not disappointed and I think the stuff sounds great. Not bad for a first crack. I did the best I could on getting the cover together so you could see it. I couldn?t find it anywhere so I scanned it and tried to clean it up the best I could. |

"Intimidator"
Review from Tight But Loose website:
Empress Valley have come up trumps with this release. The sound quality is simply stunning and it is hard to tell the difference between the audience and the soundboard tapes. As much of the show as exists has been assembled, and the editing between the two recordings is seamless. It was however a bit of an overindulgence to release the soundboard tape by itself as the third disc, this really should have been a two disc composite. Having said that it is still the best version ever of this great show. (Jules McTrainspotter Nov 01).
Review from Saitoh:
I personally agree that during HMMT, the slice to the soundboard to complete the song (and medleys) is very VERY hard to pick up. it is so well done (it took me 3 listenings to figure out it's just a couple seconds before 9min flat, and that's with the knowledge of where the Divinity source ended). While the soundboard is decent quality (not stunning, but it is easily better then the previous Charisma release), it has been heavily tweaked, and evidence of this can be heard during some of the quiet parts of the medley (it's not aggrivating, but revieling more or less).
While this is originally a 3 disc release (notice the matrix numbers at the top), I'm not posting the very last disc. Why? Because it's just the partial soundboard tape that is in circulation, and since the audience tape is better quality (for 1970, that's a scary, scary thought), it's not worth the time to post and download IMHO (if someone wants it I'll post it, but I dont think its needed as the above reviewer noted).
final note by dt (tilly) - I guess somebody wanted it, because this entire rip came directly from Saitoh, shared on DC. Notes and comments complete.
