06/21/75 Westerenger Riding Hall FLAC 10 A+ "WILLIAM TELL EDITION" 142 (After ALPHA & OMEGA) A New Beginning ? NUCLEUS 1975-06-21 "1st International Jazz Festival" Westerenger Riding Hall Engar, Eastern Westphalia West Germany Recorded by; "Herb Smith" (from original taper with his consent) Originally Recorded on; Quelle dynamic cardioids mic> (Monacor)Tape> Sony TC 377 Reel 2 Reel Deck. Recording provided by; "William Tell" Uploaded by; "Lucifer Burns" In Herb's original words ... I recorded Nucleus at the riding hall Westerenger in the town of Enger in Eastern Westphalia, Germany. Nucleus were the headliner on 21 June 1975 at the 1st Jazz Festival of the Forum Enger, a Jazz Club founded a year before. The riding hall was spacious (what you can hear on the recording) with large windows, so there was natural daylight until quite late in the evening in the mid of summer. It was very warm under the unisolated roof of the location. In no way this was ever planned to be a festival hall. The line up of the festival was very illustrious and represented the big names in European Jazz of that era. I was there only on Saturday, as I wanted to see Nucleus, but also Third Eye in a new incarnation, after I had seen them half a year before in my hometown of Minden.

01/25/25 The Ivy Room Taper's Choice The Ivy Room Albany, CA Saturday, January 25, 2025 Source info: Andrew's Rig (shotgun mics + others unknown + SBD → Zoom Livetrak L6) → Zoom H4essential @ 32-bit float/96kHz Patch info: Lossy SBD stream to YouTube via Wooks+/All That Jam → SoX upsampling to FLAC 24/96 Transfer info: WAV files → Wavelab Pro 12 (gain fluctuations, de-clip, patches, reverse polarity on R channel) → FLAC 24/96 Notes: • Mix was quite uneven in 'Vegan in the 90s', but it does eventually settle. The worst parts have been patched in from the SBD stream (though it's missing vocals) • This is the first time I passed the Dave Test. Second time seeing the band. • Set 2 is incomplete due to power issues with the rig I patched into. As a result, parts of 'Have a Cigar', all of 'Running from the Rain (Reprise)', and bits of 'Lick the Toad' and 'Doner Wrap' are patched in from the SBD stream.
