A 16-bit/44.1-KHz flac16 version of this recording is also available. Dan Lampinski recorded over 100 concerts in the Providence/Boston area, mostly between 1974 and 1978. His earliest recordings were made with an internal microphone deck, and though they are somewhat lo-fi compared to his later work, some very great moments in rock history were captured for posterity. In late 1974 he bought a Sony TC-152SD tape recorder, a Sony ECM-99 stereo microphone, and began using Maxell cassettes. He was also fortunate enough to have a friend who provided excellent taping seats for many shows, resulting in high quality recordings. In 1977, he switched over to a Nakamichi 550 tape recorder, two Nakamichi CM-300 microphones, and continued using Maxell cassettes. He recorded many of the major 70's bands: Yes, Genesis, Pink Floyd, Queen, Blue Oyster Cult, Frank Zappa, Jethro Tull, ELP, Kiss, Black Sabbath, The Who, Al Stewart, Alice Cooper, Jeff Beck, Bruce Springsteen, Supertramp, Jean-Luc Ponty, Moody Blues, Neil Young, The Faces, Rush, Rick Wakeman, Kansas, as well as several "under the radar" acts. Since Dan never traded copies of his recordings, they are all essentially uncirculated. Some copies were made for friends, but these releases are the first time most of these recordings have ever seen the light of day, and are direct from his master cassettes. No EQ'ing has been done to any of the transfers. Feel free to EQ, matrix, patch, etc and re-post if you like, just give Dan credit for the original recording. Dan was very meticulous about taking good care of his tapes and is very pleased that these recordings will now circulate among the trading community. Please honour his kindness and generosity by sharing these recordings freely. The transfers are available as 16bit/44.1KHz flac files suitable for CD burning, and also as 24bit/96KHz flac files for those who prefer the higher resolution. Always remember - the more generous you are with your music, the more it comes back to you. Kev & Carl June 2009

??/??/39 Abbey Road Outtakes flac 8 URT Vol. 1] is the CD that turned the entire record industry on it's ear. In the late '80's, this (and it's companion, Vol. 2) appeared in record stores in Europe, then the USA, and it contained absolute perfect studio session outtakes of many of the Beatles hits. Nothing of this quality had EVER appeared for any artist. Naturally EMI was furious. But more URT editions continued, as well as the BackTrack series, the Unsurpassed Masters series (allegedly from the same thief who purloined this set) and many more. A case can clearly be made that the notoriety and excitement by URT caused the emergence of archival releases, box sets and other rarities packages that might never have come otherwise. URT is likely one of the most historic and important bootleg releases ever. Oh...and it's REAL GOOD too.
??/??/39 Abbey Road Outtakes flac 4 The White Album was released in the U.S. on 11/25/68 and in the U.K. on 11/22/68. The first Bealtles LP release on their Apple label. Paul McCartney is playing drums on Back In The USSR and Dear Prudence due to Ringo quitting The Beatles for a brief period.

01/??/05 Get Back & Winter of Discontent dvd 2 The Beatles - Get Back Recorded January 1969 Comments The long wait is over ! Picture Perfect is back with its brand new 2 DVD release: GET BACK… Years in the making, we proudly offer collectors a truly comprehensive collection of Get Back material as its never been seen before! Get Back - Stereo Video Album: We’ll get to the new outtakes in a moment, first we want to inform you that this DVD set includes a full length 13 track Get Back video LP with each track remastered in glorious stereo. Why just listen to the LP when you can watch it? You can’t beat visuals! Upgraded DVD Features – Picture Perfect has overhauled the old static menus by adding interactive menus screens and Chapter pages that are easy to navigate and read. Artwork themes from several Get Back / Let It Be covers have been combined to create unique artwork with special detail given to correct colors and special fonts. The Get Back recording sessions: Headlining the package are 46 minutes of recording sessions from two productive days at Apple Studios January 23 & 25, 1969. January 23 was devoted almost entirely to creating the song “Get Back” and here we get a fly on the wall view into the recording process. Here we see the Beatles chat, joke, tune, rehearse and try some serious attempts at recording the song. Over 75% of this footage has not been seen in this form, meaning inferior copies of some of this footage has circulated, but contained few moments of audio that matched the film. Here we proudly present all the footage with correct audio painstakingly researched from hours of Nagra audio reels. This process required studying silent footage and finding the bits of sound required to sync to film. A tedious process indeed, but one that comes with a big pay off …46 minutes of Beatles recording footage! Highlights include: Paul showing Billy Preston the piano chords to “Let It Be” for the first time, John imitating Yoko, The “I’ve Got A Feeling/Help!/Please Please Me” segment that now runs longer then ever before. The sessions for the 23rd also include some very long control room segments. We see and hear the excitement over the “Get Back” recording progression, with comments about getting it out as a single NOW. Even George expresses his excitement over the song. The Beatles can be seen and heard saying that they are packing it in for the night and thus ends the day’s session. For You Blue: A real rarity, a recording session devoted to George’s new song! Completely new to DVD are the following segments: George introduces the song and explains its origins. Long rehearsal segments that include George naming the song at John’s request. John experiments with different objects to play the slide guitar. George inquires about piano sounds and how to make it sound like an old honky-tonk. Take 2 with several false starts, control room segment with George Martin and more. Note: The recording sessions listed above now appear for the first time from the master source tape for this material. Any previous release of this material has come from a 3rd generation VHS with incorrect audio. Also please note, this is not the Get Back session footage that concentrates on John and Yoko. This footage contains shots of all four Beatles from both A&B cameras. enjoy, -Gripweed

Except for the 6/4/77 video sourced show.. Now the only downside is that Exodus is cut, so we are missing about 6min of this tune. I have this show w/ the un-cut Exodus (17:43) but it is MP3 sourced and not as good sounding. I have traded a couple times for that show with the hopes it will be lossless and it is not..So take this for what it is, incomplete but lossless..A true gem..Anyone w/ problems try and find this elsewhere..(if you do seed it!!) I got this in a trade and it was hell locating/ getting this version.. The version of "The Heathen" is AMAZING.. Carlton and Aston are REALLY GROOVIN' hard on this..It is a mellow show but great.. Flaws: Some of the track transitions are not smooth i.e a small click. It is not on all the track transitions though.. Also the crowd can be annoying at times..They seem to be in the singing mood. But it does not take away from the show.. RIP Carlton Barrett 50-87--Feel it in the One-Drop ...DO NOT SELL.. ...DO NOT ENCODE TO LOSSY FORMATS... ...PLEASE KEEP THIS FILE INTACT WHEN TRADING PLEASE... seeded to EZT by Chunga1(tim) on 3/10/2005

??/??/77 Sons Of Jah Acoustic Tape flac 1 Bob Marley The Sons of Jah Acoustic Tape London 1977 01 - Exodus 02 - Jammin 03 - Waiting In Vain 04 - So Much Things To Say 05 - Misty Morning 06 - She's Gone 07 - Time Will Tell 08 - Unknown Jam 09 - Rainbow Country This tape starts off with Exodus that is probably from a different session but it is included on here because it fits in well and it is often included in most sources of this session. Sons of Jah is a tape that just sits with you forever. The sweet version of Waiting in Vain that last's 19 minutes is just stunning. Bob Works with his voice so many different ways and by the end he is really in a great groove. Half way through So Much Things To Say there is a source switch. Another half of this tape was discovered a few years ago but someone has tampered with the sound. There is a strange echo and other effects added on but the music below is just amazing. Acoustic versions of Misty Morning and She's Gone have been a collector's dream for many years I am sure. The tape ends with an unknown jam that is possibly not even Bob but who knows. It has been included just in case.

[cut] 1:31 I'm reposting this because I think that I was able to improve it a lot. Besides the TAO errors, there were quite a few thumps and clicks associated with the transfer that I was able to edit out seamlessly. Also the cuts in War and No More Trouble have been made less noticeable with edits and level adjustments. I re-edited the disc change point to put just the encores on CD#2 and the I-Three songs at the beginning of CD#1 and removed the overlap. That way if anyone wants to do the disc transition point differently it can be done without much trouble. Thanks to the original seeder! ENJOY!

Bob was playing a shared bills with the Commodores that night. After Bob came out to a humble lighting set up on the edge of the Commodores massive stage and performed this set over 20,000 of the people in attendance got up and left when the Commodores came on. Some people feel this show is incomplete. I am pretty sure it is complete though. At the end the M.C. says "hold on we have a lot more show for you" This is just saying the Commodores are coming up.

??/??/80 Mother B Tapes aka The Bedroom tapes flac 1 Bob Marley Acoustic 1980???? 'Mother B tape - reel 1' aka:Bedroom Tapes 4 track mixer?>?reel(??)>cassette>DAT>CDR This is one of two cds that make up 'the Bedroom tapes'. Bob solo acoustic..These tapes are originaly from Bobs mom.. This was sent to me from an anonymus source.. Not even a return address on the envelope.... We give thanks for these recordings... Jah music is for LOVE, not for sale 1.Im A Jailbreaker 2.Live A Life Of Love 3.Live By The Gun- Die By The Gun 4.We and Dem 5.Let Me In 6.Jump Dem Bob Marley's Bedroom Tapes Reel 2 1 2 3 Pray For Me 4 5 Can't Take Your Slogans No More 6 7 8 Rojah Steffens: some skips, clicks, pops which are supposed to be from the master dat, lots of white noise On the second ten-inch reel, there is a great deal of one note doodling, tuning, etc. But a couple of very badly recorded, yet fascinating, tunes are revealed. The first is a bossa nova, which makes one think that it was recorded in early 1980, after Bob and Jacob Miller had returned from a record promotion trip to Brazil. There are at least two guitarists in the room, one of whom lays down a lilting Brazilian bed as Bob sings. PRAY FOR ME tell all the weakhearts stay away from my door just can't take your evil no more cup is full and runneth over far as I can see shally wally wah did you say your prayer shall wally way pray for me [repeated 4 times] hey Mr. Klansman get down from the tree can't stand to see the suffering of the majority... The final song that reveals itself is one that Bob's Rasta lawyer, Diane Jobson, says is among her all time favorites of Bob's unreleased masterpieces, a political diatribe against the folly- ticians, whom Bob felt betrayed him at every opportunity. (Remember his famous line "never make a politician grant you a favor/they will always want to control you forever"? This song could easily be a follow-up.) CAN'T TAKE YOUR SLOGANS NO MORE can't take your slogans no more [repeated 4 times] wipe off the paint and the slogans all over the street confusin' the people while the asphalt burns our tired feet I see borders and barriers segregation and riot sufferation of the majority will always be with you and me... can't take your slogans no more... no more sweet talk from the hypocrites... no more sweet talk no more fussing no more sweet talk from the pulpit Many years ago I told Chris Blackwell of the existence of these tapes and urged him to make safety copies on DAT as soon as possible. It didn't matter, I said, who owned what. But if the tapes were allowed to further decompose, no one would have anything to fight over in the future. To this day, no such digital masters have been struck. Join the reggae traders.... Spreading the message by spreading the music.. One night, I was very lucky to see a solo performance by Dr. John. I was about 6 feet away from the stage, and realised I was standing next to Alexis Korner. Does life get much better than that – a pint of Youngs in one hand, chatting to Alexis about his radio show, and Dr John so close you are almost sharing his piano stool? Didn't manage to record that one though. Anyway, many years later, I’m sitting in the Barbican, about as far away from the stage as you can get, with an overpriced plastic cup of warm white wine, Alexis Korner, God bless him, is long gone, but at least the good Dr. is still playing. And this is what he sounded like…

Other artist(s): Jefferson Airplane, QMS, Country Joe & The Fish and The Charlatans". *Charles Lloyd on flute on GMLS. Transcribed by Glenn Gillis: Best of all were the glorious free concerts in the Panhandle -- a flatbed truck, makeshift electricity, food, wine, friends, sunshine, and some wonderful bands who hadn't hit the big time yet. At first it seemed amazing that we knew by name so many of the hundreds gathered; but as the months went by, our awareness of a larger community grew until it peaked that fine day in January of 1967, the day of the Tribal Stomp at the Polo Fields to be known as the "Human Be In." We heard it through the grapevine, and a half dozen of us started early that morning to walk the couple of miles to the park. As we walked along Lincoln Avenue, we noticed other groups of neighbors walking in the same direction. More joined in off side streets, and by the time we turned north into the park, we were a large, laughing group. A half mile later, we were a horde and as the Be-In took shape through the day, we were awed and thrilled as the Polo Fields filled up with more than 20,000 people. It was a day of innonence and hope; and in many ways the last moments of naivete for a neighborhood that had just gone public. -- Rosie McGee from: Brandelius, Jerilyn Lee, "Grateful Dead Family Album -- p40. I listened carefully to that bit and here's what I got: Midnight Hour (13.17) Viola Lee Blues# (4.10) instrumental version #Good Morning Little Schoolgirl (0.27) (with flute) When I heard the flute on GMLSG I thought immediately of 1-14-67 and sure enough that's what it was, but just the tail end of the song. After checking the Viola Lee turned out to also be from 1-14-67, but just from the beginning up to the quick dropout in that song at the 4 minute 10 second mark. I have not really tried to figure out where the Midnight Hour comes from, but I suspect it will be duplication of something common. I was fooled into thinking the Viola Lee was an unique instrumental version because it didn't have the end of the song which is the only place they sung the lyrics on 1-14-67. I hope this helps to clarify things for you if you come across this item. Think quickly - where else is there a 13 minute 17 second Midnight Hour? Teddy GoodBear: After listening to the rap in GMLSG, I'd say it's Lloyd with help from Pigpen. I've not heard Lloyd other than this recording, nor do I know what Lloyd's voice sounds like; as I'm just guessing. So I'm listing this entry as "sounding like Lloyd", unless somebody knows differently. RECORDINGS (?) SB. Master soundboard reel > 2 cassette generations > DAT > circulation.

This tape was in circulation for years before the complete 11/19/66 became available. There is some reverb at the beginning of High-Heeled Sneakers which must have been added later since it is the 11/19/66 performance, which does not have the reverb. Jim Powell: All tapes circulated marked with this date are mislabeled. High Heel Sneakers, Cold Rain and Snow, and Smokestack Lightning are all 11/19/66; the Smokestack Lightning > King Bee is Studio 67. Teddy GoodBear: While it may be true that all tapes marked with this date are mislabeled, I have a Smokestack Lightning that I got in the late 70's marked "2/12/67". I'm not able to tell whether it is a studio or show version, but it definetly is NOT 11/19/66. It also seems to end without going into anything; as being not the same as below (??/??/67) "Smokestack Lightning > I'm a King Bee" entry. I agree with the few that believe Smokestack being played in 1966 was too early! Teddy GoodBear later goes on to say: My Smokestak tape (which sounds very slow) is as follows - Bob Weir Interview* [1:20] (talks about Mime troupe billed as GD formally the Warlocks, Bill Graham calling Billy K. for advice & Bill Graham is the one with the clipboard at the trips Festival). *Where is this from? If anybody has the rest of this interview, let me know. Smokestack# [to 9:41#] Now, I'm not sure if it's different than 11/19/66. It may be the same as Jim said. Being so slow it's hard to tell. 04/??/67 KMPX Radio Show shn 1 Jerry Garcia, Phil Lesh, Tom Donahue KMPX Radio Show April - XX - 1967 Source: Pre-FM-MR>R>DAT>CDR THE CELESTIAL JUKEBOX (Special Radio Flashback Edition "The Phil 'n' Jerry Show" April 1967) A long, long time ago -- before many of you were born -- there was a wondrous thing called "progressive" or "free-form" radio. These were the days when rock radio stations were programmed by people who actually knew and loved music, rather than the accountants and marketing analysts who now control the airwaves. During this time it was possible to hear, in a single program, music by artists as diverse as the Beatles, Ravi Shankar and Miles Davis, to name but a few, picked and played by DJs who spoke to, rather than at, their audience. One of the pioneering stations in this adventurous era of radio was KMPX-FM in San Francisco, which was instrumental in letting the world know about the explosion of great music in the Bay Area in the late 60s. One fine April evening in 1967, the station's co-founder, the legendary Tom "Big Daddy" Donahue, invited Phil Lesh and Jerry Garcia to play guest DJ on his nightly KMPX show. Phil and Jerry discussed the Grateful Dead's then-brand-new debut album (they promised the next one would be much better!), as well as such arcane topics as a top-secret military project to develop a "sound gun" that could kill or maim everyone for miles around with super-low-frequencies. Best of all, they brought along some of their favorite records to play on the air. As you might expect, it was a most unpredictable batch of tunes indeed. The following is a playlist from Phil and Jerry's guest DJ shift, as broadcast on KMPX-FM in San Francisco, sometime during the last week of April, 1967. However, David Gans received this Alligator sequence from Dick, labeled as 8/22/68 on a 1/4-track reel he made from Bear's cassettes. Copies of David's reel now circulate on CDR correctly labeled as SBD:MC>RR>Sonic Solutions>CDR. Perhaps more of this show exists in the vault on reels or cassettes? 06/21/88 Capitol Theatre flac 2 lineage: c.m.>dat>dat>cd wave>flac dat transfer, encoded, & uploaded by Rob Berger there's a very minor hum throughout, a couple of cuts, and a couple of drop outs towards the end. commentary: on the face of it, just another seasoned performer entertaining a sold out crowd comprised almost exclusively of drunk white kids from the suberbs. A warm summer solstice '88 at the magical Capitol. Upon further listening I realized there was something much much heavier going on here. Jimmy Cliff has a message. My take on it was that if we love ourselves and our neighbor than this place would be a whole lot cooler. Not such a stretch from the time honored judeo christian ideals. And you can dance to it. The feel good tape of the season. Splendid

??/??/84 Rainbow Theatre flac 1 sp addresses the people of tokyo, so i'm confident of the location. they also mention their new album, earth crisis, which came out in 84, so the year seems right too. unfortunately the rest of the details remain a mystery. starts off a little shakey but quickly stabilizes into a decent, not phenomenal, sounding recording during the intro of the first song. compared to other sp shows from this era, i'd say it's among the ones to get.
