Here's an excellent quality soundboard recording from AC/DC first trip to Europe. I don't
think the video is available anymore, because it might have been destroyed, which is a shame.
The show is probably incomplete though; I doubt they only played three tracks. However, it
could be that only three tracks were recorded... Or the whole show was recorded and only
three tracks released... I don't know. |

In spring 1977 AC/DC played some show as support for Black Sabbath,
this is one of the concerts (in fact it is the very best tape from
that tour). For a long time this recording was unknown, I got this
in a trade and was surprised how good the quality is: the sound is
clear and Bons is in great shape that evening! This is the complete show (cut at the very end of "Rocker") |

Recorded live at the Summer Jam at Comiskey Park in Chicago, IL on August 5, 1978.
Taken from the master tape, this is a great sounding audience recording. The original recording only had the right channel, so this is now R+R mono. There is a short cut in the middle of the guitar solo during "Rocker". Not really distracting if you aren't looking for it.
The mix is great, lots of bottom end. The vocals can get a little thin during the more powerful sections, but overall one of the best audience recordings from the entire Bon Scott era. Sound quality is A- / A. |

*** QFM 96 BROADCAST ***
Here's another good sounding recording (not perfect, but quite good) from AC/DCs Powerage World Tour.
The boys simply rock the shit out of themselves and the audience is more and
more into it with every song (listen to Bon shouting "I think I marry you all"
in the middle of "The Jack").
This is one of my favourite live recordings of all time and is available on many
different bootlegs. This version offers the best sound quality so far and it
was the first including the whole concert. |

Complete radio broadcast of a show which took place on the last leg of AC/DCs 1978
tour. I am not sure if this is the complete concert as AC/DC usually played "Bad Boy Boogie"
on nearly all shows that year. A very good concert with loud audience and AC/DC on fire !
This show was released on several liberated bootlegs (vinyl and CD), but some of them
omitted some tracks and others did not have that good quality this one here offers.
This here is the best version available. |

Special show AC/DC played at VH-1 Studios in London without any audience.
The concert was cut in two parts and aired on two different occasions,
"Back In Black" was not aired in those two broadcasts but on another date later that year.
First time Brian singing "Riff Raff" (apart of a rehearsal tape from 1986),
first time AC/DC playing "Go Down" live, first time Brian singing "Gone Shootin"
and a rare appearance of "Down Payment Blues" on the setlist.
The quality is very good (Tracks 1-9), the last two tracks are from a different source,
the quality here is not as good as the first tracks but still enjoyable.
This is the most complete version available so far.
Taken from liberated bootlegs "The Studiobreakers" and "Ultimate Volts". |

Carling Apollo Hammersmith |

|
This is the last gig AC/DC played so far and it is a very cool one.
The whole event was set up by Carling as a celebration to the re-opening of the
famous Hammermith Odeon which now is called Carling Apollo.
Tickets went on sale at 10 Pounds on the internet and sold out in just four minutes.
I was lucky enough to be able to get in and witness this fantastic show,
AC/DC did a unique set including "Rock And Roll Damnation" and a killer version
of "If You Want Blood (You've Got It)" along with a lot of the classics.
Angus did his stiptease during "The Jack" and the crowd is singing the chorus all
the time during his striptease. This is a great concert with great audience (as usual
at Hammersmith). You will not recognize that Brian was very sick before the concert
and the band was thinking about cancelling the gig two days before the event as Brian
had to go to the doctor. |

Troupers Hall was the meeting room
for a retired actor's club in Hollywood. The rent for the
gig could'nt. have been much. We did everything ourselves,
all in two days. We plastered handbills all over Hollywood.
Stage decor was a few lengths of paisley cloth purchased that
afternoon at a fabric store. For a box office, we had a card
table and a cigar box. Our not-quite-full house must have had
over a hundred people; and when the night was over, our net
take was $75. At 2 o'clock in the morning, we went to Cantor's
Deli on Fairfax and spent it all on dinner for everybody -- with
desert. -- Grateful Dead Family Album (page 43). |

Discs 1 & 2 are a compilation of multiple Audience sources which were used to piece together
the complete 1st set and first 4 songs of the 2nd set. A big thanks to Mick Etherington,
Dave Lang, Simon Mould, Simon Phillips, as well as Chris Jones- the only taper we can
identify- for supplying their copies of this show, as well as Alan Schlissel and Steve Barbella
for getting the different versions all in one place. The various versions were all speed
corrected, but there are still some speed fluctuations and "wow and flutter" here and there.
Discs 3 & 4 are supplied from a Master Soundboard Reel > DAT source. The previously
circulating, 2nd set partial Betty Board was used to patch "The Other One".
There is a 5th disc which contains the NRPS set and is not for the faint of heart. |

The seventh release from the Howard Silver collection. Sound quality similar to the other releases (very good). I do not believe this show is complete?the Carnegie Hall shows have 2 encores after Mockingbird, including Sweet Baby James. Unfortunately, those are not here. Fortunately, the majority of the show does exist, and we are grateful for that!!
This is the second release from the Howard Silver collection. Originally from New York, Howard spent his college years and thereafter in Chicago. He attended many concerts in the 70?s and taped many of them using a Sony TC-110 with built in microphone. Later shows, he used an external microphone, of which brand he does not recall. |

I decided to seed this one 1. because of the unusual setlist, some of the songs he never seem to play live anymore, 2. he never did a duo with Don Grolnick before or after this show, but most of all beacuse of his 12 Minute introduction to the song Mona, this really is worth the download, it's really is a riot! |

This is another great soundboard obtained directly from the band. Ring is cut off as it is on the master DAT
recorded by the band. I was lucky enough to meet the band after the 11/25/97 show in Ventura, CA. The guys were
so cool that they went back onto the tour bus and brought out 6 Master DAT Tapes of recent shows. So I went home and
cloned away on my DAT machince and returned them to the band the very next night at the House Of Blues. That is the
story on how these shows came to being. I hope that you all enjoy them as much I have. |

This is the one and only complete copy of this show circulating. This is straight from the board and is not
an FM source like previously circulated. The mix is quite exceptional thanks to Jeff who I believe still does sound
for the guys. JR is in an interesting mood because they were on a time schedule. Seven Mary Three was not the only
headliner for the night. HOB kicked the entire place out immediately after the show because HEART was playing the
nightcap. JR does a nice job of making fun of us Los Angeles folk in regards to Thanksgiving. I thought it was
quite humorous. Enjoy the show! |

Great show, unfortunately the board feed was a bit hot and due to a very territorial house
sound guy it was not easily corrected. First couple of songs have major vocal clipping. After
that it tends to be only when JR screams pretty high. Part of this was due to the fact that it
was my first time out with the Korg. All in all still a good listen.... |

Another great show from 7M3, this time at a go kart track. If you listen during the soft parts
you can hear the go karts going by. This one starts out real heavy the first track for about 10
or 20 seconds then levels out. About 4 tracks in the toms go on seperate channels and the guitars
are split about a track later. All in all a nice stereo mix. |

Korg D12 Notes:
Channels 1 and 3 full pan left. Channels 2 and 4 full pan right. Channels 1 and 2 at unity.
Channels 3 and 4 faded back to -4 db. Master out adjusted to -2db.
Show Notes:
Great show at the windjammer. Crowd was really into it which is very evident in this recording.
Since the mics were only faded back a few db this is almost a 50/50 matrix. Sounds like a very
aud recording. I did bonehead the start and missed the first 1 1/2 minutes or so so i faded the
start in to ease the transition. Guess thats what happens when your trying to do too many things
at one time. If you leave out the Encore Break when burning it should all fit on one disc.
Enjoy!... |

Another great high energy show from these guys. JR was real talkative in this one. Pay
attention to what he says right before cumbersome, very fitting for the venue. The sound in the
venue was pretty good considering it was outdoors under a huge tent next to the Ohio River. The
show was packed with people and most of them seemed real into the band. The dancers on stage
during Cumbersome was an indication of that. Enjoy! |

Another outstanding show with an unusually large and energized crowd. This was due to the fact
that people flew into Orlando from all over the place to see this 2nd night of 2 for the 10th
anniversary of the American Standard release. Of all the times I have seen these guys I have
never seen a crowd so into the show, singing along with about every song. Sound in the room was
decent and is represented nicely on the tape. Enjoy! |

A wonderful performance from the Bookends period, full of energy and good humor. The performance was recorded by Al Kooper, and was likely intended for an official live album. A few recording anomalies (the guitar hitting Paul's mic stand and tape saturation) likely commanded a veto from the CBS Records executives. It's a shame, because, aside from a few recording baubles, the show is certainly worth an official release. Of special note are the performances of "Overs," "At The Zoo," "Leaves That Are Green," "The Dangling Conversation," and "Old Friends / Bookends." |

An excellent performance from one of the few concerts where Simon and Garfunkel had a full backing band. The whole show was filmed for a TV special, Songs of America, to air later that November. Due to the political overtones of the show (not the least of which was the song "Cuba Si - Nixon No"), AT&T withdrew much of its sponsorship, and only two tracks from the show were aired, including "Bridge Over Troubled Water."
The performance is fairly lively, given the likelihood that Paul and Art weren't on the best of terms, due to Art's increasing interest in screen acting. Many of the songs from Bridge Over Troubled Water performed at this show were new to the audience - all but "The Boxer" were unreleased at this point. This is definitely a show worthy of official release. |

[Reported to be] "a new deluxe 3CD set from the Scorpio label, that will bring together material from the 1964-75 period. The bulk of the material is studio demos/outakes, but there are selected live tracks as well. The majority of the material has never been bootlegged before, or even circulated in tape collectors circles. The packaging will be of a very high standard (this label has put out Bob Dylan and The Band material in this "Genuine" series with great results) with a beautiful colour fold out cover and a nice booklet with sleeve notes and contemporary interviews, as well as loads of great photos and rare record sleeves. This will stand as probably the most important "unofficial" Van Morrison release to date!"

Van Morrison recorded live at Pacific High Studios, California, September 5, 1971. Recorded from rebroadcast on KSAN radio, San Francisco, about 1975 on a Teac reel-to-reel. Digitized and edited in Sound Forge to remove station ID and one rude noise and broken up into tracks. No sound processing done. |
