East Texas Is My Home (multiple takes) Mama Lion
toke break * Dust My Broom (tease) * Dust My Broom * //Jam// East Texas Is My Home (multiple takes)
Nick Gravenites - Vocals, acoustic guitar John Cipollina - Electric guitar *Taj Mahal - Vocals, acoustic guitar "A John & Nick recording, years before they worked together full time. There is a very private sound as it's just them, minus the Taj Mahal appearence. "East Texas" tracks sometimes are just a certain part of the song being worked on. I don't think this song was ever released by any artist. Although not certain, it sounds like a Gravenites original piece. "//Jam//" is an item that appeared as 'Instrumental Jam' by Quicksilver on the bootleg "Thru the years and thru the bands" or' Caravan', a Cipollina home recording from 1969.

Copperhead - 1st unreleased Lp November 1970 Untitled I Just Gonna Move You Drunken Irish Setter (1st ever known version) Untitled #2 (tape's speed is not stable on the original recording) Highway no.9 (acoustic version) Mama (title of the first incarnation of this song) Chameleon (Unobsky & McPherson on vocals)
This is exactly the copy of the original John's notes reported on his reel. 1. Sometimes tape's speed gets funny, with some variations. 2. Copperhead 1st lp is from 1973, so this was John's first attempt to record an album as Copperhead. 3. Sound quality is ok, not the best, i guessed he recorded this with a small tape recorder in his house.
John Cipollina - lead guitar, hawaian steel guitar, steel guitar. Mark Unobsky - guitars & vocals Jim Murray - guitars, tablas & Harmonica Jim McPherson - Piano & vocals David Weber - drums Cyrus - bass
