The show fades out between the end of Soulshine and fades back in to Seven Turns--no music is lost. There is a rather unfortunate fade at about 15:20 into Liz Reed due to a tape flip, and it fades back in during the drums portion of the song. All things considered, it's a great recording of a really nice show.

I'm So Glad (Nehemiah James) 10.01 Grande Ballroom Remastered V2 Quality: The original recording was done with quality equipment off the PA mixer with the balance favouring the guitar and vocals. The remaster has significantly improved bass presence and lifted the drums especially the bass drums. The guitar retains its attack unlike the remasters on "Those Were The Days". Volume variations, dropouts have been smoothed and pitch corrected. Noise levels were not overly high but again have been reduced, especially the layers of tape noise. Final remaster quality is now extremely high. The latest remaster is from a digital copy of the master tape or quality 2nd gen at worst! One of THE great Rock concerts! And damn good sound - very live and up front. http://twtd.bluemountains.net.au/cream/rem/theremasters.htm

Selected tracks were also broadcast by London's Capital Radio as part of the 'Live action concert series'. Also BSB the now defunct UK satellite broadcaster aired selected tracks on their 'Power Station' music channel." This DAT copy of the show shows no signs of FM broadcast, and had a few fades most likely for placement of commercials. This is probably a leaked broadcast tape. The fades have been corrected to piece this back together again. Two songs are missing from this version from between tracks 7 and 8 on Disc 1. The setlist should be ... Lay Down Sally, Before You Accuse Me, Old Love, No Alibis... Often mislabeled as January 10, 1990, an impossible date. Clapton comments that this is "the last night of the Quartet" which made locating the proper date fairly trivial. About the Show: Eric performed with the four piece band (Quartet): Eric Clapton Guitar, Vocals Nathan East Bass Greg Phillinganes Keyboards Steve Ferrone Drums According to http://pages.infinit.net/ronfaith/ the versions of "Running On Faith", "White Room" and "Sunshine Of Your Love" from this concert are the ones that were used for the commercial release, "24 Nights". It also shows them in NYC at RCA Studio B on 3-7-67 at a recording session for Come Back Baby. Dave T's info below is probably more accurate so if they definitely didn't play the Fillmore Aud. on 3/3 through 3/5 1967, they could well have done this gig in NYC a few days before the recording session for Come Back Baby. Looks like they played the Fillmore and Winterland the following week in 1967 according to JA Base and Dave T. Setlist is mostly from the first 2 albums and Come Back Baby shows up on Hot Tuna's second album, 1971's Electric. Surrealistic Pillow had just been released in February and After Bathing At Baxter's would be released in December. Dave Tamarkin's Notes: here's some more info to confuse this issue, taken from the bill graham database and some other sources, including the various fillmore poster books. JA didn't play the fillmore on these dates. i believe the poster is referred to as BG53. this does make sense since it's pretty well documented they were there on 3/10-12/67 at fillmore aud. and winterland. the cafe au go go engagement is mentioned in my brother's book but doesn't list exact dates : 3/3/67 Fillmore Aud Otis Rush Chicago Blues Band Mothers Of Invention Morning Glory 3/4/67 Fillmore Aud Otis Rush Chicago Blues Band Mothers Of Invention Morning Glory 3/5/67 Fillmore Aud Otis Rush Chicago Blues Band Mothers Of Invention Morning Glory Notes: 2pm Show hope this helps, dave t Flaw details: CD sync errors, mostly dropouts or skips, all on the master: track 2, first couple seconds track 9, 6:49 track 10, first couple seconds, also 0:42, 2:04 track 14, 1:56, 3:50, 4:00 I don't think these are as significant but are there to some extent. You may need headphones to hear them: there are also a lot of single-sample clicks scattered throughout the disc, but an unusually large number during the last 3:00 of track 9 and the first 2:00 of track 10. most of these are either in one channel or the other, very high frequency

No trader tape known to circulate has these. Purple Haze appears in all its soundboard glory on the "Jimi Hendrix" documentary released in 1973, and is now out on DVD. Star Spangled Banner has never to my knowledge appeared in soundboard form. An average audience tape exists for this show, and has both songs missing from the circulating soundboard. The soundcheck is missing one track, Ezy Rider. The circulating soundboard is missing this entire song. It does appear for a few seconds in the Jimi Hendrix: Berkeley video, which is now out on DVD. This tape for the 1st show was transferred from a DAT clone of a 1st gen analog tape. Any other details are unknown. The second set also circulated as a 1st gen tape, but isnt included here since the entire second set was released officially recently. The soundcheck is from a different source, and its generation is "unsure". It is believed to be either 2nd or 3rd gen, but there isnt really much certainty with that. It was the best source we could track down, quality-wise.

It continues to be one of my favorites blues show I have. The song with Bonnie Raitt is worth the price of admission alone. I extracted this from the original disc using EAC (secure mode), converted to shn using mkw, MakeTorrent v2.0. If this goes well, I will most likely upload additional blues shows in the future. The sound is great (doesn?t get much better for 1970) and so is the performance: The tight We?re Gonna Groove opener (which blows me away every time I hear it) sets the mood for the whole show. | 04/19/80 | Grugahalle | CDR | 2 | A | ZZ Top April 20, 1980 Gruga-Halle, Essen, W. Germany Recorded this onto cassette in the early 90's from a bootleg record a friend of mine picked up at a record show. This was the first play of the vinyl and it does sound quite good with no noticable pops or scratches. The two missing tracks from the set ,were as far as I know ,omitted from the record.I don't know what happened to the end of Tush , but it got cut off and I had to fade it prematurely. Lineage: Sbd > Vinyl > Cassette > soundblaster live > pc > soundforge 7 and cdwav to edit > flac frontend > STG.... This recording sounds really good!!!!
