It is very jam style, very reggae, very goovie, awesome version. No piano like on the album, but very chill. A good representation of what the shows from this mini-west coast tour were like. The levels seem to change from song to song, but in a good way. The taper seems to be compensating for crowd cheers, quiet songs, etc. Jack comments on how the floor there is "bouncy." Both he and Mason interact with the crowd really well, talking a bit and changing up old songs, and putting different spins on classics songs. Jack Johnson is: Jack Johnson - Guitar, Vocals Merlo - Bass Adam Topol -Drums, percussion Mason Jennings is: Mason Jennings - Guitar, Lead Vocals Robert Scorough - Bass, Backup Vocals Noah Levey - Drums (This is who mason introduces during one of the filler tracks. However, I believe a guy named Ian does drums for some shows. I have two other recordings where Mason introduces "Ian on the drums". |
