| Notes | The Auditorium, Chicago 7 October 1972 Off master - includes The Jean Genie - first performance? Hiss reduction and re-aligning balance only carried out, using Audacity. Off master tape > CDR > Audacity (minor hiss reduction / re setting balance due to extreme bias to right channel) > CD Wave (track splitting > TLH > FLAC 01 Intro-Hang onto Yourself 02 Ziggy Stardust 03 The Supermen 04 Queen Bitch 05 Changes 06 Life on Mars? 07 Five Years 08 Space Oddity 09 Andy Warhol 10 My Death 11 The Width of a Circle 12 John I'm only Dancing 13 Moonage Daydream 14 Starman 15 Waiting for the Man 16 White Light / White Heat 17 Suffragette City 18 The Jean Genie 19 Outro While slightly above average quality for the era in terms of Bowie recordings, this is still not a hi-fi recording. I have decided to share this in a pretty raw state, I have only reduced the hiss a little (don't worry, there is still plenty, meaning the treble frequencies are still there, and the recording can 'breathe'). I have been assured that this is lower gen than the Chicago a Go Go recording that has been torrented, and it sounds like it - but the difference is minimal. That version is slightly louder but has some clipping and other distortion. There is a small tape interruption during Space Oddity, however it is not too intrusive, so I left it as is. I edited a small gap in the recording during Moonage Daydream as that jarred. |
