Notes: The little background talking is there <sigh> and truly gets to the foreground on d1t7, d1t9, d2ts, d2t4, but after being encoded to SHNs and compared against LB-0769 fingerprints, to the best of my ability I couldn’t find that the tracks matched its wantonly list. NOTE: from ‘Seeing The Real You At Last’ it seems the taper have shifted position/most likely hidden the mics a little too well. From here on in the last four tracks suffer. All previous tracks are very good/excellent; through and through tape hissy though.

Notes: Info file say, "Taper, Equipment & Location: unknown Sound Quality: Let the samples be your guide. I made the following adjustments using Audacity 2.0.3: (1) re-combined all tracks into one wav file (2) boosted overall volume 4.7 dB (3) re-tracked recording placing indexes at the beginnings of songs (4) boosted right channel an additional 1-2 dB as necessary to match left (5) removed mini-gaps between tracks 06 & 07 and tracks 07 & 08 (6) removed minigap from track 05 @ 4:33 (7) deleted defective left channel on tracks 12-15 and copied over right channel (8) added fade-up to track 01 and fade-down to track 15"

Notes: LB-12348, (79min+46min), version "b", From an old DAT (received in trade, 1996-02-24). I believe this is a whole 'nother recording from [LB-769], due in part to a distinctive f/p in this one: track 11 @ 0:02 foreground talk, sounds like a female saying sounds like "grace." That f/p seems absent from the August 2016 torrent of [LB-0769 xref-01470]. Also, this seems to be a true D/D recording. My DAT runs more or less continuously for 1:54:35 and has no notable hiss. I have only spotted one discontinuity so far: track 14 @ 11:38, during applause. (A good time to change a two-hour DAT, just in case.) And there does not seem to be any problem with the stereo in the last four tracks as mentioned in the [LB-0769 xref-01470] description. There was some occasional left track mike noise throughout, always in between songs; I have mono-ed that out, not affecting any music. The tape may be a little overrecorded at some loud peaks, but certainly nothing too bad., FLAWS: I noticed 3 seconds of diginoise in track 15 @ 5:32; it's in both channels so I couldn't remove it. (I just heard another flawed instant in track 1 @ 0:35. Maybe there are others; DATS were rough!), TRANSFER DATE: 2016-08-22, WHAT I DID: DAT > WAV > Sound Forge (split into tracks, mono-ed out some left track mike noise in between songs) > FLAC > MP3tag (tagging), WHAT I DID NOT DO: resample the files (they remain @ 48 khz, just as on the original DAT, so you will have to convert them yourself in order to burn to CD.), All thanks to the original taper and to the person who sent me the DAT!
