Comment
The audience was very polite and extremely quiet when Rik is playing. This is a "Grass Roots Performance" (now called 'Network Shows'). If you have never heard of these they are basically shows that are set up by Rik Emmett fans. They have to guarantee a certain dollar amount and cover traveling and lodging. In return, Rik will put on a show. This gig was at the Berklee School of Music and is mainly an acoustic set. He does pull out his electric guitar and uses a 'band in a box' for a few songs. He also does A LOT of talking between songs, almost like a Story Tellers show. Some stories explain the music and some bash Triumph. The stories are great and the playing is even better.
Rik also recorded a Berklee show in 2000 which is available as an official release. Please help support his solo career by purchasing his official releases (http://www.rikemmett.com). Most of them are incredible.
