| Notes: | Essential! That's all I can say about this release. ESSENTIAL!!! After making 29 films, Elvis Presley steps back into the studio for for the first time in 8 years to record a session that's NOT a movie soundtrack. After the success of the 1968 Comeback Special, Elvis is eger to cut some songs of worth. Something to get him back in the spotlight again. An man did he ever hit a home run. Finding The Way Home is a testament to these sessions, 2 hours of uncut Elvis, cracking voice, cussing, studio chatter. This is by many to be considered the holy grail of EP boots, I wouldn't sell my silvers for $500.00 and I mean that. Better then any RCA release of this classic session, it's a MUST HAVE for any Elvis collector, and even a great set for non Elvis fans to see just how great a singer this man was. Enough typing from me. On to the tracklisting and 2 reviews... | |||||
