| Notes: | LDB Master Series #36 Hello, this is a collection of masters I would like to seed here. I've been taping shows for more than 20 years and have an awful lot of masters. Most of them are in the old cassette format, some others are on MiniDisc and others are on CD. I've taped many shows of many artists over the years, so don't be surprised if you will find many different artists taped! Some shows are already circulating, some others have not circulated through collectors yet. But most of all, enjoy! They all come from my mastertapes! RADIOHEAD Roma, Rai studios via Asiago Planet Rock 2 May 1995 FM broadcast Introduction / The bends Just anyone can play guitar bones high and dry street spirit vegetable fake plastic trees you prove yourself ripcord planet telex bullet proof creep my iron lung stop whispering Back in the early 90's, I used to listen to 'Planet Rock' quite often. It was the only radio programme on national radio that broadcasted avantgarde music, new bands and sounds you could not listen anywhere else in the country. For example, I first heard of Pearl Jam & Nirvana back then. The also used to tape shows and broadcast them. Most of them were of little underground bands, and some of them became huge. They broadcasted (and I taped them!) the first italian shows from Nirvana and Pearl Jam (the PJ one I actually attended it!). Another 'Planet Rock' broadcast was the Dream Theater one in Milano in 1993. They also invited bands to perform live at their studios. So I also catched Radiohead that I already knew from 'The Bends' album. It was good because I was looking forward to see the band live but they did not play in Italy!!! The sound quality is superior than any audience recording but it's not perfect. The sound is a bit compressed and not a 'full' stereo as I would expect from a radio broadcast. 9 out of 10, i would say. Hope you enjoy it anyway. My master was traded at the time, so it's possible that if you have this show, it could come from my master.
