| Notes: | Text file from the SHN set I compiled:- "Glastonbury Fayre" (aka "Revelations") - REV1/2/3, April 1972 (UK) - limited edition of 5000. Tracklisting, Disc 1 [65:00] d1t01 Dark Star - The Grateful Dead d1t02 Love Song - Brinsley Schwarz d1t03 A Blanket In My Muesli - Might Baby d1t04 Sunken Rags - Marc Bolan d1t05 Classified - Pete Townshend d1t06 The Supermen - David Bowie d1t07 Silver Machine and Welcome - Hawkwind d1t08 Sun Music - Skin Alley Disc 2 [67:01] d2t01 Glad Stoned ) Buried Fielding ) Flash and Fresh ) - The Gong Fest Footprint In ) My Memory ) d2t02 Do It - The Pink Fairies d2t03 Uncle Harry's Last Freak Out - The Pink Fairies d2t04 Out Demons Out - Edgar Broughton Band Source: SBD/AUD : Glastonbury Fayre LP > ?? > Bootleg CD (on Buccaneer Records) Transfer Info: CD > EAC (secure mode, offset corrected) > Nero Wave Editor (removal of a few of the larger glitches) > CD Wave (re-cut track boundaries) > SHN NOTE(S): 1) In respect of the Gong material, five separate tracks are listed on the original album cover, though this material is banded into only four separate tracks on the source pirate CD. Rather than attempt to second-guess the location of the "missing" fifth track (and the markers on the source CD are rather arbitrary and haphazardly placed in relation to the music in any event), I have made the decision to allow this material to run as a single track and at least maintain a continuity. 2) Contrary to what the cover says, the order of The Pink Fairies tracks is as above. 3) Several tracks on this collection have since been released elsewhere, such as the cuts by the Grateful Dead and David Bowie. In order to preserve whatever integrity there was to the original mixes and remain true to listeners remembrances of the Glastonbury Fayre LP, I have used the original album cuts; this has meant using edited versions of tracks (Dark Star) or inferior sound quality tracks (The Supermen) in places, though I hope you will agree with me that, for the benefit of capturing a moment in time, it was worth it!
