| Notes: | Notes: This show is commonly dated as June 15. That was the broadcast date. June 3 is the performance date. There is an 11 track (~57 minute) version of this. It's basically missing tracks 10-12 on this version. Its source may the same as this. There is also a hiss reduced remaster from Jazamo of the shorter version. There is also a 3 song version of this show, which was broadcast for "Live Jive" on KSAN-FM. The source for this revision was originally shared by mr_mags on January 25, 2014, who got it from agalli. This is from a new rip of those same CDs by agalli. -the audio was running fast, so speed corrected by -1.8% -automatically balanced levels -automatically phase corrected the channel alignment -using Audacity, I cut out the duplicated introduction to "Knock Yourself Out" which appeared on track 9 for some reason. I also moved the broadcast outro that was originally on track 9 to the end, seamlessly joining it with track 13. Ross (ledwhofloyd), Dec. 2025 | |||||

| Notes: | AMG notes on their 1973 album "Tower of Power": The Tower of Power finally found their ideal lead singer on this album. Lenny Williams came aboard and gave them both the uptempo belter and convincing balladeer they had previously lacked. They landed their biggest single hit, "So Very Hard To Go," and also had two other top tunes in "What Is Hip" and "This Time It's Real." The arrangements and production were also excellent, and the horn section was at its explosive best. -- Ron Wynn Musicians on the album (not necessarily on this broadcast): Lenny Williams - Vocals Brent Byars - Bongos, Conga Emilio Castillo - Saxophone, Sax (Tenor), Vocals, Production Supervisor Bruce Conte - Guitar, Vocals David Garibaldi - Drums Mic Gillette - Trombone, Trumpet, Flugelhorn, Horn, Horn (Baritone), Vocals Stephen "Doc" Kupka - Oboe, Saxophone, Sax (Baritone), Vocals Lenny Pickett - Clarinet, Flute, Saxophone, Sax (Tenor), Vocals Francis Prestia - Bass Jay Spell - Piano Bruce Steinberg - Harmonica Chester Thompson - Organ, Keyboards, Vocals Stephen Kupka - Guitar, Oboe, Sax (Baritone), Vocals Greg Adams - Strings, Trumpet, Arranger, Conductor, Flugelhorn, Horn, Vocals, String Arrangements | |||||
