The Unreleased Live Album: Eric planned to release a double live album in 1987, based on shows from 1986 and 1987. Included are the dates and venues of all shows recorded because there is a chance that a recorded
show has found its way onto a bootleg, and if it was professionally recorded then there's a chance it will be of better quality. Incidentally, the album was abandoned when "Crossroads" and "The Cream of Eric Clapton" were
released, because Polydor were afraid of swamping the market. So here, then, are the shows that were recorded for the project. (J.M.)
10/7/86 - Le Casino, Montreux. "Cocaine" and "Sunshine of Your Love" from this show were intended for release.
14/7/86 - Birmingham National Exhibition Centre. Nothing ever issued.
15/7/86 - Birmingham National Exhibition Centre. "White Room", "Same Old Blues", "Holy Mother" and "Further On Up The Road" from this show were intended for release. Indeed, this show is available on video and much of it has been subsequently released on CD singles/12"s.
10/1/87 - Royal Albert Hall, London. "Miss You" from this show was intended for release.
11/1/87 - Royal Albert Hall, London. Nothing ever issued.
12/1/87 - Royal Albert Hall, London. "I Shot The Sheriff", "Hung Up On Your Love", "Tearing Us Apart" and "Layla" from this show were intended for release.
26/4/87 - Providence Civic Centre. "Wonderful Tonight" from this show was intended for release.
27/4/87 - Madison Square Garden, New York. "Badge & Let It Rain" from this show was intended for release.
