Notes: This version is fuller than other copies of this recording that I have heard and I believe it takes us a step closer to how the master would sound. The cassette is quite hissy and I tried Dolby on but it cloaked the sound. Hiss reduction is beyond my skills and generally not to my liking unless it is being applied by an expert such as jimfisheye. I did, however, feel confident using iZotope RX to tackle a hum that hovered just below 100Hz and could be heard between the songs. Taking advice from iZotope's learn function a value of 99.77Hz was applied. Both channels contribute so I didn't feel it would be right to drop one. I asked iZotope to suggest values for the azimuth and it is very close to correct so I left it alone. Goldenband gave me his customary expert speed correction advice. The cassette runs slow and the amount changes slightly. It speeds up after the beginning of AD and varies a bit after that too. The labour involved in a variable speed correction wouldn't be worthwhile because the variation is only about ±0.5%. I applied a +3.706% adjustment using Èlastique 3.1.4 Pro. Notes: Lineage: Master Cassette > Cassette > CDR(x) > EAC > WAV > FLAC A first gen obtained years ago in a snail mail trade. The best sounding version of this show that I've heard. Quite a short recording, cutting out a few minutes into the "Interstellar Overdrive", but one of the better sounding 60s Floyd audience recordings.
