Notes: Bon Jovi - A change of plans: part one Bon Jovi January 19th, 2003 Yokohama Arena, Yokohama, Japan In January of 2003 Bon Jovi announced they would be recording and releasing a cd of live accoustic tunes to the delight of rabid fans. They recorded the show in Yokohama Japan on January 19th, 2003 and luckily several fans snatched the evening on DAT, because Jon wasn't happy with the results. In a matter of a few months the band had smoked so much LSD and Peyote (pure conjecture on my part) that they decided to record completely new versions of many of their hits and release the results as "This Left Feels Right ; Greatest Hits With a Twist" The band played only one show for the original concept and 2 shows for the "Left" idea (the first released in official DVD form). This two part torrent is a digital audio account of the 2 shows not officially released. This was a special event. A one off acoustic concert intended to become the first official live acoustic album. While it was never released several Japanese fans recorded it to DAT with different rigs. I got a couple express packages a few days later but waited till the project was officially dead before mastering it up and "sharing" it with the masses. There were actually a few start and stop takes and a few songs were redone live because of a bad take on the first run through. I deleted those miscues from the 2CD set, including the "good" cuts to make a set that was pleasant to listen to and true to the bands origial intention. Living on a Prayer is done wboth with and without orchestra. The second torrent in this set features the "left" live experience, which is quite good but definately different. Jon Bon Jovi - vocals, guitars Richie Sambora - guitars, vocals Dave Bryan - keyboards, vocals Tico Torres - drums, percussion Hugh McDonald - bass, vocals DAT MASTER Recorded with DPA 4061>fostex D5 (16 bit 44.1khz). Digital transfer with Panasonic SV3800>Delta 66 >DAW (via coaxial digi). Mastered with Wavelab and Waves and Arboretum plug ins (notes unavailable). Notes: This was a rare acoustic show that was supposed to be released as a CD/DVD called "Strum As You Are". The band decided to scrap this idea and go back to the studio to make "This Left Feels Right" instead. -- The Version I have does NOT have 2 takes of some songs (as listed here) for some reason.
