| Notes: | "Glorious harmonies, pounding rhythym section"..."Like a freakish lovechild spawned from the eggs of Beach Boy harmonies, Supergrass guitar lines and Mick Jagger stage presence..." "West coast sunshine pop and hellfire Aussie rock circa 1977..." "an altogether new sound, mixing Sixties Monkees-style melody with the strength and the fun of The Jam or The Who..."Glorious melodies and delecatable harmonies...". OK, I'm bias. This is my brother's band. But the above words are all from the critics raving about them back home in Oz and they may soon be touring the States. Those who hear them love it! Shifter was formed in 1999 by harmony-obsessed singer/songwriter Michael Nason and (insert cool way of saying ?drummer? here?) Peter Robertson. Friends since school, they set about achieving their life long dream of five-part harmony over screaming rock ?n? roll. Bringing on board the talents of Damon Fealy (guitar, vocals), Ned Walker (keyboards, vocals) and Danny Alder (Bass, vocals); Shifter have been chalking up wins ever since. Shifter are under the influence of... Silversun, Teenage Fanclub, The Beach Boys, Alcohol, Fountains of Wayne, Supergrass, The Beatles, Big Star and Weezer. THIS DISC IS ALWAYS OPEN FOR A B&P. JUST ASK! | |||||

| Notes: | A special thanks to Aussie Trader Greg for sending this CD of his brother's music to me. Great, fun, upbeat, kick-butt... Happy to B&P this one to help spread the word about these guys. Thanks to Greg, not only for this show (and all of the shows we've traded over time), but for the great correspondence and "online" friendship. Greg is one of those people who make this hobby so much fun. Cheers, mate! | |||||
