Notes: These Japanese TV Broadcasts of Montreux shows are always impressive and this one does not disappoint! Fantastic pro-shot quality with great sound. Stanley Clarke is commonly considered among the most important bassists of the jazz-fusion era, and this show helps illustate why. Check out his unique right-hand technique, his selective use of equipment and instruments, and how his physical size (he is a slim 6'3") helped him dominate his short scale bass guitars. Plus, you've got to love his fashion sense! This show is great. Almost 30 years ago, and as Ed says, it could have been taped yesterday. Thanks Andy!
