Set 1: Neil & His Band
Set 2: Band of Strangers set
For those who don't know Neil did a short "Band Of Strangers" tour in the UK,about 4 dates in all. He put a call on local radio stations for fans to send audition tapes and the best of those were chosen to play as his band for the night.
Rumour has it that Neil was stuck in traffic and didnt make it til the rehearsal until 5 or 6pm with the show starting at 8.30. One of Neils crew got there earlier and managed to get them going but even still they were brilliant on the night for the lack of rehearsal they had. There were 12 in all and they changed over between every song.
The madness of this gig only added to the unpredictability of the show and Neil's usual impromptu set was even more impromptu, full of humour, full of mistakes but all added to the wonderful occasion. The crowd was small, maybe 500 and it was full of family and friends of those on stage again adding to the warmth and humour of the crowd that night.
