So much attention to detail has been paid here it would take forever to write out everything I did to this recording. To generalize, the frequency spectrum has been completely overhauled. The low end of this recording, since it being an audience recording from over 40 years ago, was much too high on the original source. I have cut specifuc freqyencies based on additional harmonics produced by these frequencies, in order to remove the dull sounding mud and bring out the actual music of the performance more. Levels were also drastically altered differently from track to track depending on the imbalances and abnormailities specific to each track. The audience chatter and applause has been toned down significatly as it was about 2 times louder than the band before and after each track. Light amounts of compression have been used to bring out the levels of instruments not heard so clearly such as the vocals. Many other little adjustments have been made as well to bring you the final product that is here. This is the mono version of the show. For the stereo version, check the forum in which this show was uploaded. I originally wanted to have each track as a single mono wav file to reduce file size but discovered when converting to FLAC that it doesn't allow 1 channel wav files. I therefore had to make 2 channel wav files of 2 identical mono channels. So this is still mono, but with 2 channels of mono instead of one. I hope this pleases all the Whooligans out there itching for some early, balls-out live Who in all their glory! Enjoy!
