Notes: Known Faults: -None This recording is from the same circulating source but originates from our anonymous West Coast taper/collector’s archives. It may be sourced from his master tape, though that remains unconfirmed. He was actively taping in 1977, and the sound quality certainly reflects his signature work—but for now, we can’t definitively attribute it to him. The bot archives didn’t return Weather Report’s headlining set, so its circulation status is unclear to me. If our collector captured Al’s set, it’s highly likely he also recorded Weather Report which has not appeared in his archives though we do think some of this transfers to CDR may have been stolen prior to coming into our possession. The show has previously circulated via a low-generation Mr. Mags upload and a glasnostrd19 reseed. We figured it was a good time to take a brief Santana breather and roll out a refreshed edition. We gave it the full treatment: de-clicking, removal of extraneous audience noise, pitch correction, channel alignment, and a tasteful new remaster that brings out a rich, full-bodied sound...samples provided so you can assess if you want to download or not. As for the performance—Al is absolutely on fire. His fingers are flying from start to finish, delivering a blistering set. We owe a debt of gratitude to the anonymous West Coast collector (may he rest in peace) and his motivated friend, who recognized the importance of preserving these historically significant shows before they were lost forever. A special thanks also goes to dime member ìdavmar77î for facilitating the connection, and to Goody, our pitch master, for his unwavering support of all our historic releases. We also would like to thank "https://www.santanamigos.com/" for a great website that is a wealth of research information. Collectors, don't wait until it's too late. Together, we can ensure these invaluable archives reach all who will appreciate their magic, myself and others are here to assist...no tape left behind!
