Notes: The Tubes Date: 2001-05-02 Venue: Wild Horse Saloon, Nashville, TN Sets: Partial Media: DVDR Number: 1 Source: TNN Television Broadcast Quality: A+ Notes: The Tubes TV collection: Here?s a pair of tapes lent to me by a gracious archivist. First we have The Tubes Live MTV Saturday Night Concert. Great show from the Outside Looking Inside tour, where they play most of that album with some older favorites. Complete show here with all the antics, costumes and props. Show was recorded on 6 hour mode, which meant I could only play it on a normal VCR not my broadcast one, but the quality is still a solid 3 with no tracking errors or dropouts. Pretty good for a 20 year old home tape really. The second part is three songs recorded from TNN in 2001 from a special called Classic Rock. This is MUCH better and rates a 4 to 4.5 with really good sound. Less theatrics here and very little stage nonsense, but a pretty good portion of the original band is here, so it?s a fun watch.
