| Notes: | Gypsy Sun and the Rainbows. ---------------------------------- Date: 8/20-26/1969 * The rough estimate on the dates are August 20th - 26th. Location: Hit Factory, NYC Source: Multi Gen rehersal tape. Personel: Jimi Hendrix - Guitar Mitch Mitchell - Drums Billy Cox - Bass (Occasionally) Larry Lee - 2nd Guitar --------------------------------- Encoded, FLAC, level 8 --------------------------------- Tracklist: (part 1) (14:05) (part 2) (:43) (part 3) (:45) (part 4) (2:01) (part 5) (8:26) (part 6) (2:03) (part 7) (2:44) (part 8) (3:00) ------------------------------ Here's is a treat for everyone, a rare glimpse into Gypsy Sun & the Rainbows. A rare and Extreamly low circulating tape. I torrented some clips of this a year ago, but here are the complete tapes. In these tapes is the first (an embronic) studio lay down of Villanova Junction. The second guitar is a piece of mystery/myth; though it is Larry Lee, it was at one time thought to be one of the legendary sessions with Jeff Beck in 1969. A b/w photo (taken in 1969) of Jimi and Jeff in the Hit Factory, guitars strapped and ready shown in a documentary in the 90's, lent to the myth, BUT, alas, it is LARRY LEE. NOT FOR SALE | |||||
