| Notes: | DOUG SAHM with Wayne Bennett JUNIOR PARKER TRIBUTE SHOW ANTONES, AUSTIN, TX NOVEMBER 28, 1985 THE BAND: Doug Sahm (vocals + guitar), Wayne Bennett (vocals + guitar), West Side Horns (Rocky Morales on tenor sax + Al Gomez on trumpet + Louie Bustos on trombone), Louie Terrazas (bass), Sauce Gonzales (organ) and Ernie Durawa (drums). THIS IS A GREAT, LONG (220 MIN) SHOW!!! Not only are there a lot of fairly rare songs (in concert) but the sound quality is wonderful for a stealth AUD recording in Antone?s (the meanest anti-taping venue to ever exist!!). The show is dedicated to Junior Parker. Btw, Wayne Bennett played in Jr. Parker?s band, Bobby Blue Bland?s 50?s/60?s band and a lot of others. SOURCE: analog tape 1st. gen>phillips standalone>cdr>eac NOTE: volume levels fluctuate in a couple spots taking nothing away from this fabulous show. | |||||
