Notes: Skeleton Crew (Fred Frith & Tom Cora) Maxwells, Hoboken, NJ March 18, 1983 (AUD) This is an excellent show with just Fred & Tom and a quiet but enthusiastic audience. The SQ is excellent, B+ to A I'd say, with a bit of tape hiss. The taper promised me that it was his master tape, but I'm claiming it as 1st generation to be on the safe side (I say that I'm discarding my tapes every time that I transfer them to disk, but I never do... so why would he?). There are two short (about 45 minute) sets, and I've cut only where it seemed obvious to do so. It's hard to tell though, so if I've mis-cut any songs please pardon my ignorance. Source: AUD > cassette (1st generation) > TotalRecorder 24/192,000 + bit depth conversion to 16/44,100 > +2db amplitude in right channel and Waves L3 MultiMaximizer in Audition > dbAmp flac encoder (level 6)
