| Notes: | Great set list-great vocals-but..Eric's guitar is on "auto-pilot"..which is absurd with Jimmy Herring,Jack Pearson and Derek Trucks playing this sorta music ..Eric..WAKE UP!!! he is getting into one position on the fret board ,playing cliches, subjecting a note every two bars to the bendy treatment..ludicrous..!!! Superb Derek Trucks on "After Midnight"-3.30-3.59 and "Further on up the Road" at 2.03-2.49.-To cap this..thanks Eric for a great band..next time...Doyle must stay home..and Willie Weeks must put more highs on his bass-it is too woolly every night. | |||||

| Notes: | Eric's guitar and vocals sound just fine to me. Doyle II has a cool kinda laid back "al a Albert King" solo on Little Queen of Spades from 6:41-10:24. Derek makes a great addition to the band with his great slide playing. I think it is nice to hear the contrast of styles of all 3 players (Eric, Doyle II and Derek)as well as Robert Cray's snappy, clean tone. I enjoy it for what it is, not expecting perfection on every note. | |||||
