FM broadcast. The music is marvelous, featuring the
wonderful alto saxophonist John Handy in a quintet with Eddie Henderson on trumpet and an unusual rhythm section of Joe Bonner (ex-Pharoah sanders) on piano, Chuck Israels (ex-Bill Evans) on bass, and Eddie Moore (from Dexter Gordon's quartet) on drums. Bobby McFerrin comes up to do his thing, but only for one tune; Joe Henderson replaces Handy for "Invitation," and the rhythm section
does "Tricrotism" on its own.'
John Handy - alto saxophone
Eddie Henderson - trumpet
*Joe Henderson - tenor saxophone
#Bobby McFerrin - vocals
Joe Bonner - piano
Chuck Israels - bass
